To help learn about how to present a pitch, we've been given a mystery franchise with these hints as to what that could be.

With the group that I got last minute since I was busy with other assignments and admittedly forgot about it. We quickly hashed out an idea based off the existing games.

I looked into what Banjo Kazooie is since I’ve never interacted with the franchise before. From this new understanding, I was able to understand that the main theming is about exploration and the companionship between Banjo and Kazooie. Based on this and with the help from the rest of the team, we came up with a new idea for Banjo that incorporated the companionship more than before.

We came up with an It Takes Two style game, using the franchise's old powerups as area based power ups. We also came up with ideas about how the world would interact with these powerups, expanding on what the franchise built up already.

Once we had the idea sorted, I met up with my teammates the day of the presentation to rehearse and split up the slides over who would speak what. I was given the responsibility of talking about the idea and what the game would encompass.

Overall, our presentation went ok, going first definitely gave us some nerves but also let us talk about the game without knowing we were already wrong unlike the rest of the class. This definitely helped me to understand what it takes to get the game noticed and what is needed to properly explain a game title to someone that doesnt understand the industry as much such as investors or a client.
