GAME DESIGNER
Joshua Angel
I am a UK based Game Designer, specialising in the design of game systems and UI design

Who am I?
About me
I have been striving to learn more about the building blocks of Games systems, creating a broader understanding of games for myself. These new ideas then have been implemented into a variety of game genres and mediums, done through participating in many Game Jams and other such opportunities to test my current understanding. This has then allowed me to gain greater understanding of the industry and intricacies of my job's role within game development and what aspects of my skills that I can develop. Recently, my priority has been on information flow and communication to the end user, found in experiments such as Climate Controller or The Walking Bread's Enemy Design, taking time to reflect on the project and areas where I can improve, found in my blogs.

I have experimented with a large variety of genres within games from RTS (Real Time Strategies) to platformers and even different mediums such as Board Games (found here). I have also created some tools and tinkered with different mechanical systems such as a Map Editor or Procedural Map Generation.

Outside of Game Dev
I previously studied Game Design, both through College and University, graduating both. This involved creating many different games or systems that fit to a brief including any technical limitations or requirements. Within College, I worked both by myself and within teams to product prototypes of games that involves many different mechanics such as a Bullet Hell or AI behaviour building.
Within University, I expanded on this concept, creating more projects within teams, with a greater focus on the Design aspects of the project, specialising within the teams and learning to work with other specialists within the field.

Outside of development, I play within a team sport, leading the team within the game and making calls about our actions. I also manage many teams under the game for the organisation.
